Megan + Dom

To be wed in the mountains is a fine thing… the rivers and streams were robust, spilling out and creating new and unnamed tributaries. During all the time I’ve spent on the west coast, I can’t remember ever seeing it as green as it was for Megan and Dom’s celebration. A pre-wedding hike through the mountain snow set the mood for the forthcoming nuptials. Taking time to pause and breathe in this unique moment. The ceremony was set in a clutch of aspen trees. Their vows rose up like two butterflies dancing on the wind, and their guests whispered their good intentions into their chosen stones. We then ventured out into the beauty of Convict Lake before the sun started to set and the party commenced. Dancing together, this small group of friends and family felt big among the Sierra Nevadas. This place was special to the bride and groom years before they were married there. By the time the night was over, it was special to all of us. —m
